Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Nights)

Location: West Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
• Patient ratios approximately 1:3-4 couplets
• Patient types include c-sections, vaginal deliveries, and triage
• Experience with drips such as magnesium, insulin, and pitocin required
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Traveler will be required to float across multiple campuses within the region

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical or Med Surg Tele experience
• Experience in mother-baby care required
• Experience in Labor & Delivery required
• Experience with c-section and vaginal delivery including triage required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the last 12 months (no first-time travelers)
• Current certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline required
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred
