Location: Sault St. Marie, Michigan

Job Description

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LPN assists with nursing care for patients of all ages in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and performing treatments within LPN scope and training
• Participating in patient/resident and family teaching
• Collaborating with nursing staff to maintain professional nursing standards
• Reporting changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse
• Assisting with emergency measures as needed
• Maintaining nursing care standards and implementing hospital policies, including patient/resident rights
• Accepting nursing assignments and providing ongoing patient assessments as directed by the Registered Nurse

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan LPN/LVN license
• Minimum 2+ years of Long Term Care experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Work history and skills checklist relevant to LTC, current within 1 year
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Additional Information

• Must be willing to work night shifts
• No special scheduling requests will be approved after submission
• Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius from the facility (local candidates will not be considered)
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Epic
• Facility bed count: 49
• Dress code: Purple
