Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Olney, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 4 shifts of 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30)
- Wednesday: 1 shift of 10 hours (07:00 - 17:00)
- Total 42 hours per week
No on-call or weekend shifts required
Every other holiday required
Primary responsibilities include scrubbing for Interventional Radiology (IR), vascular, and pain procedures
Proficiency required in operating Philips Azurion C-arm and portable C-arm
Unit handles CT and X-ray cases, but floating to these areas is not required

Procedural Types:

Interventional: Tunneled catheter placements (mediports, permacaths, Hickman lines), embolizations, drain placements, suprapubic catheter placements, PEG tube placements, Pleurx catheter placements
Pain Management: Epidural blocks, radiofrequency ablations
Vascular: Angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, IVC filter placements

Required Qualifications

Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Maryland
Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
Successful completion of at least one travel assignment
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) certification
Fluoroscopy Permit
