Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a busy IR department with 6 labs, handling 20-30 cases per day. The role involves assisting with vascular, neuro, drains, and line procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and pass supplies during procedures
• Set up and take down procedure rooms
• Work with EPIC EMR and Phillips monitors
• Collaborate with a Charge RN (on shift 07:30-17:00) and a Patient Care Technician
• Adhere to call requirements including weeknights, weekends, and holidays (7-9 call shifts every 6 weeks) with a 30-minute call response time
• Work 9-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• Participate in a 3-5 day department-specific orientation

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT Certification
• BLS Certification
• Active Illinois license or proof of application initiation

Additional Information

• Local candidates within 50 miles preferred
• Drug-free workplace; negative drug screen required
• No floating between cath lab and IR; assigned to one area only
• Scrub color and dress code provided

Work Environment

• Department: Interventional Radiology (separate from EP and cath lab)
• 6 procedure suites/labs with pre-op and phase 2 recovery areas
• Charge RN available during day shifts for case support and lunch coverage

Call & Scheduling

• Call shifts required on weeknights, weekends, and holidays
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• 9-hour shifts, 4 days per week

Experience & Travel Requirements

• Specialty: Interventional Radiology Tech
