Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Round Rock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Unit Overview
- Unit Type: Emergency Department
- Beds:
- 48 private rooms
- 27 hallway stretchers
- 9 Fast track beds
- 5 behavioral health beds
- Staffing: 111 total staff
- Typical Patient Ratios:
- Emergency Department: 1:4
- Behavioral Health: 1:5
- Cardiac/Trauma: 1:3
- Equipment: Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers, Stryker stretchers
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): MEDITECH
- Permanent Positions Available: Yes
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs
Job Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Required Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MEDITECH EMR system
- Trauma nursing experience
- Inpatient nursing experience

- Morgan lens application
- Use of rapid infuser

- Supportive staff with experienced tenure
- Multiple mid-shifts available for coverage
