Description

Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Woodward, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (Labor and Delivery)
  • Required Years of Experience: 2 years
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-timers accepted)
  • Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7 PM - 7 AM)
  • Floating: Yes, floating within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
  • Local Radius Rule: Candidate's address must be greater than 75 miles from the contracted facility
  • Locals Accepted: No
  • Pending State License Accepted: No
  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN Intermediate (Electronic Fetal Monitoring for Labor & Delivery RNs)

Orientation & Facility Requirements

  • Must attend Patient Care Orientation Class (Skills)
  • EPIC training required if no EPIC experience within last 6 months
  • Fit Testing (N95 Mask) completed onsite prior to or on first day
  • Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy Acknowledgment required
  • Health Code of Ethical Business Conduct Acknowledgment required
  • Policy Acknowledgment Form required
  • Information Access Agreement required
  • Oklahoma Offender Registration Act compliance required
  • Fingerprinting and Oklahoma Screen clearance required prior to start

Background & Verification Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and OFAC sanctions list checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
  • Education verification with transcript/diploma required
  • NURSYS license verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Employment history verification for last 10 years, including international positions
  • Two references from former direct supervisors required (one within 1 year, one within 3 years)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by Physician, PA, NP, or APRN
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (Tdap mandatory for Labor/Delivery)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required
  • Hepatitis B: completed vaccine series, positive titer, or declination (declinations require annual renewal)
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
  • Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including marijuana (required within 30 days prior to start)
  • Flu vaccine required annually or agency-approved exemption (medical or religious)
  • COVID vaccination strongly preferred; declinations accepted with agency form

Competency & Skills Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (100% passing score required)
  • Color Blind Testing within 60 days prior to start
  • Unit-specific Competency Exams with minimum 80% passing score, updated annually
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (90% passing score required), updated annually
  • Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, III) covering safety, ethics, patient care, and workplace violence, updated annually
  • Conscious Sedation Competency Exam (if applicable), updated annually
  • Behavioral Competency Exam for behavioral health units (performed onsite)

Additional Notes

  • Must submit current and valid Driver’s License or State-issued ID and a utility bill in the candidate’s name with matching address dated within the last 3 months
  • Address on documents must be greater than 75 miles from the contracted facility
  • No pending state licenses accepted
  • No block scheduling accommodation
  • No local candidates accepted
