Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Float across multiple campuses within the local area.
• Patient types primarily Pulmonary and Medical Surgical.
• Unit size: 23 beds.
• Experience with drips such as Heparin.
• May care for COVID-19 positive patients.
• Orientation provided.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of Medical Surgical experience (required).
• Pulmonary patient care experience (required).
• Experience caring for pulmonary/ventilated patients on BiPAP, trach care is highly preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is required.
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical discipline.
• Professional references preferred within the last 24 months.

Work Schedule & Other Details

• 36-40 hours per week, with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Holiday and call back pay multipliers apply.
• On-call pay available.
• Charge/precept pay available.

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers may be accepted if they meet the 2+ years Medical Surgical experience requirement.
• Must be able to work nights.

This position is ideal for experienced Med Surg RNs with pulmonary care skills looking for a temporary assignment in the Des Moines area.
