Job Opportunity: First Assist (CST/ORT)

Location: Pensacola, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

• Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CV OR)
• Number of Beds: 1–2 Heart/Vascular rooms within a 12 OR suite total
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Staffing: RNs, Techs, Orderlies, Unit Secretaries
• Equipment: Standard OR equipment
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling: 5-hour shifts (may be open to 10-hour shifts), on-call weekdays and weekends
• Floating Policy: May float to Main OR if no vascular or heart cases available
• Patient Experience: Professional and polite demeanor required

Job Responsibilities & Skills

• Scrub open heart cases (required)
• Scrub hearts and vascular procedures
• Advanced skills in scrubbing endovascular cases are a plus but not required
• Procedures performed: open heart, lungs, and vascular surgeries

Required Qualifications

• CVOR First Assist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• CVOR First Assist experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• OR First Assist Certification
• Ability to scrub open heart cases
