Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Miami, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Respiratory NICU/PICU
- Equipment used: High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo’s, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, regular nebulizers
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating policy: May provide coverage for regular adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
- Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- Current NICU/PICU experience
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Certifications: BLS, NBRC, NRP, PALS
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
Job Responsibilities
- Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases
- Utilize advanced respiratory technologies and medication delivery
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment with a patient care focus
Work Environment & Culture
- Team player, critical thinker, adaptable to change
- Dress code: Light Gray (Silver) uniform required
- Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center with Level 3 NICU
- Tertiary care and teaching facility with certified comprehensive stroke center
