Description

Registered Nurse (Neuro/Spine) - OR

Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Neuro / Spine
  • Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Number of Openings: 1
  • Shift: 4 x 10-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
  • Call Requirements: Call is required; varies depending on the team (details discussed during interview)
  • Float Requirements: Must be able to float within a 25-mile radius of the home campus

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Alabama
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

  • Dress Code: Navy scrubs required
  • Unacceptable Attire: No T-shirts, fleece jackets, hoods, or nail polish

This travel RN position in the Operating Room focuses on neuro/spine specialty care. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, current RN licensure, and certifications in BLS and ACLS. The position offers a 13-week contract with 4 ten-hour shifts per week and includes call responsibilities. Candidates should be comfortable floating within a 25-mile radius and working with surgical patients in a 24-bed OR unit. Preferred experience includes working with robotic surgery equipment and orthopedic cases.
