Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel contract position. Immediate start preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required (AAP or AHA only)

Certifications Required

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• E-Verify proof or Attestation
• Criminal background check within 6 months (or within 30 days for new candidates)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Copy of Diploma (transcripts not accepted)
• Primary source verification of state license
• Facility-specific safety and orientation acknowledgements
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and titers including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual update required for Respiratory Therapy)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or vaccines or declination)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccine series or declination)
  • Varicella (titer or vaccines or declination)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination (required for placements starting on or after 9/10/2025)
  • COVID vaccination or declination
• Drug testing (10 panel) within 6 months or 30 days depending on hire date (instant tests not accepted)
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Performance evaluations if previously completed assignments through any agency
• Skills checklist updated annually
• Employment application/resume

Additional Notes

• Candidates must complete approximately 81 Relias training modules prior to first shift and orientation (up to 8 hours allowed for orientation)
• Badge photo required (no hats, sunglasses, filters, or altered images)
• Strict facility requirements for documentation and compliance
