Location: Olympia, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures including setup, scanning, and processing. Responsibilities include communication with radiologists, physicians, patients, and families; performing contrast injections; quality control and reporting; scheduling; and assisting radiologists. Operate and maintain MRI and auxiliary equipment.
Shift: 4x10 weekday nights (Monday-Thursday, 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM)
Start Date: ASAP

Experience & Requirements
- Valid MRI Technologist license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS Certification
- ARRT (R) Certification
- ARRT (MR) Certification
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
- Pending licenses are not accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures safely and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team and patients
- Perform contrast injections as needed
- Conduct quality control and reporting tasks
- Maintain daily schedules
- Assist radiologists with imaging needs
- Operate Toshiba Vantage Titan 1.5T MRI magnet and auxiliary equipment
- Adhere to ACR imaging and safety guidelines
Work Environment
- Facility operates 24/7, serving both inpatients and outpatients
- MRI department staffed with 2 technologists on duty at all times
- Emphasis on MRI safety and quality imaging for excellent patient outcomes
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator fit testing (annual) required for travel candidates
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
Training & Competency
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules including:
- Annual regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules as applicable
- Basics of Trauma Informed Care (required at this facility)
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
- Color blindness testing if required by unit
- Epic training modules may be required depending on assignment
Additional Notes
- All required RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included in submission
- No acceptance of local travelers residing within 50 miles
- Facility follows strict safety and quality standards under ACR guidelines
