Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) (Nights)

Location: Glendale, Arizona
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Weekend and holiday rotation required.
• Possible float to support other units.
• Candidates must be able to start on the listed start date or within one week.
• Return to Office (RTO) requests cannot exceed 7 days and are not allowed during the first week of assignment.
• Candidates should specify all facilities, shifts, and departments they are willing and experienced to work in.
• Candidates must be pre-closed and ready to accept the assignment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Arizona with no disciplinary hits; license must be verified within the last 30 days.
• Current ACLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Current BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Life support certifications must be from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
• Flu vaccination required (medical and/or religious exemptions accepted with documentation).
• Valid driver’s license to verify residency.
• PCU skills checklist completed within the last 12 months.
• Resume must include all facilities, departments worked, trauma level designation, and number of beds.
• Completion of required learning modules prior to assignment start.

Preferences

• Prior travel experience is highly preferred but not required.

Additional Information

• Strict adherence to background check standards is required.
• Non-billable hours are adjusted to reflect 16 hours per assignment.
• Assignments may be canceled by client or vendor with one full week’s notice without penalty.
• Candidates must be flexible with locations, shifts, and departments to increase chances of securing an offer.

Work Environment

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a Level I Adult Trauma Center setting.
• Facility recognized for high performance in cardiology, pulmonology, oncology, children’s hospital services, and behavioral health.

Note: Arizona residents are not eligible for assignments in any Arizona facility for this role.
