Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technician

Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position in the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab (2 rooms)
• Procedures include PCI, Impella, balloon pump, device implants, ablations, and lead revisions
• Work schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts (7:00 am - 5:30 pm) plus 7 call shifts per 4-week schedule block (including 3 full weekend call shifts)
• Potential floating to Interventional Radiology

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3+ years of recent experience as a Cath Lab Technician
• Experience with interventional cardiology, cardiac procedures, PCI, scrub techniques, and EPIC electronic medical record system
• Cath/EP Lab experience required
• EP responsibilities include scrubbing for device implants, lead revisions, and ablations
• Adult patient population

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT Certification (Radiologic Technologist)
• Current Massachusetts Radiology Tech License
• AHA ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only accepted for this location)
• Fit Test (N95 respirator) within 1 year of start date, updated annually
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (no exemptions)
• TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if break >6 months
• Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 1 year
• Additional recommended: Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof, Tdap vaccine within 10 years

Additional Requirements

• Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender registry, and exclusion checks
• Documentation of 7 years of work experience and education history
• Two professional references within 4 years (minimum one supervisor-level)
• Skills checklist and candidate submission forms required for application
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is needed

• Cannon equipment
