Physical Therapist Travel Job - Florida

Location: Atlantis, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Days, 8 hours
  • On Call: No
  • Weekends: One weekend per month (with weekdays off to balance)
  • Unit: Inpatient Rehabilitation (42-bed unit)
  • Typical Patient Populations: Orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical
  • Patient Ratios: Vary based on volume
  • Staffing: Director, Lead PT, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Assistants
  • Equipment: Treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, exercise bikes
  • EMR System: Meditech

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Florida
  • Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS Certification
  • Experience in Acute Care, Rehabilitation, and Post Acute settings
  • Ability to work varied day shift hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree

Work Environment & Culture

  • Critical thinker, team player with patient care experience
  • Compassionate, technologically adept, excellent time management skills
  • Dress code: Grey scrubs required

Additional Information

  • Schedule is influenced by surgical volume, including weekends and holiday rotations
  • No night shifts required
  • The facility is a teaching hospital recognized nationally for excellence in multiple specialties including cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, and bariatrics

This position is ideal for Physical Therapists with acute care or rehab experience seeking a travel assignment in a supportive, multidisciplinary inpatient rehab setting.
