Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)

Location: Greeley, Colorado
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must be proficient in caring for surgical, orthopedic, neurological, and medical/surgical patients.
• Required to read tele strips.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation.
• Expected to float to support nearby campuses if needed.
• Candidates must be able to start on the listed start date or within one week.
• Return to Office (RTO) cannot exceed 7 days and no RTO during the first week of assignment.
• Candidates should be flexible with locations, shifts, and departments to increase chances of securing an offer.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months Medical/Surgical experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, verified within the last 30 days, with no hits on state license to practice.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from approved vendors (AHA, ARC, or ASHI).
• Ability to read tele strips and proficiency in Med/Surg nursing skills (skills checklist completed within last 12 months).
• Valid driver’s license to verify residency.
• Must complete required learning modules prior to assignment start.
• No Return to Office (RTO) during the first week of assignment; RTO cannot exceed 7 days total.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel nursing experience is highly preferred but not explicitly required.

Additional Information

• Strict adherence to background check and compliance requirements is mandatory.
• Candidates must submit a detailed resume including all facilities, departments worked, trauma level designation, and number of beds.
• Non-billable hours are adjusted to reflect 16 hours per assignment.
• Assignments may be canceled with one full week’s notice without penalty.

Work Environment

• Level II Trauma Center with a 378-bed regional tertiary facility.
• Exposure to high-level care in oncology, cardiology, and robotic surgery.

This job requires flexibility, strong Med/Surg nursing skills, and adherence to certification and licensing standards.
