Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) (Days)

Location: Greeley, Colorado
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Float assignment expected primarily to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical/Surgical (M/S) PCU patients.
• Must be proficient in caring for Cardiac and M/S PCU patients and able to read and monitor telemetry.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation.
• Candidates must be able to start on the listed start date or within one week.
• Return to Office (RTO) time off cannot exceed 7 days and is not allowed during the first week of assignment.
• Flexibility with locations, shifts, and departments is preferred.

Required Qualifications

• License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado, verified within the last 30 days. No state license restrictions or hits.
• Experience: Minimum of 24 months PCU experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) from an approved vendor.
  • NIHSS certification required.
• Other:

  • Candidate must have a valid driver’s license to verify residency.
  • PCU skills checklist completed within the last 12 months.
  • Must complete required learning modules prior to assignment start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel nursing experience is highly preferred but not required.

Additional Information

• Strict adherence to background check standards is required.
• Candidates should submit a detailed resume including all facilities, departments worked, trauma level designation, and number of beds.
• Assignments may be canceled with one full week’s notice without penalty.
• Work involves caring for high-acuity patients in a Level II Trauma Center setting.
