Job Opportunity: MRI Tech

Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience. The position involves working Friday through Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Charting experience with Epic (1 year required) is necessary.

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR) certifications
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience working in both Acute Care and Outpatient settings
• Proficient in chest imaging, cervical spine imaging, and lumbar spine imaging
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Scheduling Details

• Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Facility allows calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Floating to other units/campuses may be required based on census and qualifications

Additional Requirements

• Must have 1 year of Epic charting experience
• Pending licenses are not accepted; all licenses must be active before start
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates accepted within radius rules

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year history and various federal/state screenings
• Drug screening within 1 year, updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working in high-risk areas)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B documentation or proof of immunity
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (not required for remote workers)
• Respirator fit test completed onsite during orientation
• Badge photo required prior to start

Orientation and Training

• Completion of online orientation modules within 72 hours of assignment
• Pre-assignment testing required and must be completed timely
• Floating policy acknowledgment required annually

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• Candidates must be prepared to float to other qualified units as needed.
• All certifications must be current and cannot expire within 30 days of start date.
