Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM
Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Call Requirements: None
Unit Information
- Department: Respiratory Therapy
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Procedures Performed:
- Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
- Assist with intubation
- Nebulizer treatments
- Metaneb therapy
- Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing (IPPB)
- Chest Physiotherapy (CPT)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC, NRP, PALS
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Servo I ventilator
- Experience with I-Stat
Additional Requirements & Guidelines
- Dress Code:
- Black scrubs required (must be purchased)
- Clean, healthy nails (no artificial or gel nails)
- Neat, clean hair; pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab
- Facial hair must be neatly trimmed
- Tattoos should be covered when possible
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings)
Patient Care Focus
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work with patients of all ages
