Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialist (RRT)

Location: Seneca, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Patient Age Group: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Medication System: Omnicell
• Documentation System: EPIC (minimum 1 year EPIC experience required)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Experience with EPIC documentation system

Compliance and Background Requirements

• Comprehensive background checks including 7-year history, alias searches, and state/county verifications
• Drug screening within 1 year, updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if applicable)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B documentation or exemptions
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (not required for fully remote workers)
• Annual competency exams and training modules completion required (including medication and pharmacology competency)
• Fingerprinting may be required depending on prior residency and work locations

Orientation and Training

• Completion of online modules within 72 hours of assignment
• Pass/fail testing on medication and arrhythmia exams required prior to start
• Respirator fit testing completed onsite during orientation

Additional Notes

• Driver’s license required for computer access and must be carried on duty
• Badge photo required prior to start (passport-style, plain background)
• Floating policy acknowledgment required (clinical staff only)
• HIPAA and safety manual acknowledgments required annually
• Candidates must be prepared for a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists with prior travel assignments who are comfortable working night shifts and managing a broad patient age range in a high-acuity setting.
