Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Clinton, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• ICU Registered Nurse position
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1900-0730)
• Every other weekend required
• Float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) as needed
• Locals within 60 miles may be accepted at a lower rate (note: pay details not included)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, with ICU experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications required:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Criminal background check within 90 days, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Drug screen within 90 days of start (does not include marijuana)
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Tdap vaccine within last 10 years preferred
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable, updated annually
  • Documentation of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Valid driver's license if driving is an essential job function
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
• Annual competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency (must score 80% or higher)

Additional Notes

• Two positive supervisory references required, supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
• Must complete all required attestations and background verifications prior to start
