Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry (Days)

Location: Rock Island, Illinois

Job Description

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care. You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

• Typical workweek: 36-40 hours, with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Orientation sessions are scheduled regularly throughout the year.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
• Night shift differential: 16 hours.
• Overtime/Holiday pay multiplier: 1.15x.
• Call back pay multiplier: 1.5x with a 2-hour minimum.
• Charge/Precept pay available.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois required to submit; Iowa license to apply upon hire.
• Med Surg, Telemetry, or Stepdown experience required.
• Some oncology experience required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Work history/resume required.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission required.
• License verification required.
• Copy of required certifications required.
• One supervisory reference required at time of submission.
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility.

Additional Information

• The position is based at a Level 1 trauma center.
• Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required.

Notes for Candidates

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Must be able to work day shifts in Med Surg/Telemetry units.
• Orientation dates are provided regularly throughout the year to accommodate new hires.
