Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide imaging support in the Operating Room (OR) working with vascular Interventional Radiology (IR).
- Position is for a technician role, not nursing.
- Work schedule: 8-hour days, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotating call every 4th week.
- Must be willing to work within a 50-mile radius.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Virginia
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Certifications & Compliance
- Must meet all standard background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and drug screening.
- Required health documents include:
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start.
- Immunizations and titers for Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccination.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as per protocol.
- Drug testing: 10-panel including marijuana and fentanyl, updated annually.
- Must comply with facility-specific professional appearance and compliance guidelines.
Additional Information
- Orientation and competency exams may be required.
- Fit testing will be completed onsite if required.
- Fingerprinting may be required depending on unit assignment.
- Radiation badge must be supplied by the facility for new candidates.
This position is ideal for a Radiology/Cardiology technician with ARRT certification seeking a travel contract in Virginia with OR vascular IR experience.
