Description

Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technologist

Position Details

Employment Type: Contractor
Shift: 3pm - 11pm, Monday through Friday
On-Call: Weekend on-call every 4-6 weekends; no weekday on-call required except 1-2 overnights weekly (5pm-7am) with a 30-minute response time
Weekend Coverage: 1 full weekend (24/7) per month on call
Holiday On-Call: Possible if no core staff coverage
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Patient and Work Environment

Patient types include general, abdominal, vascular, small parts, refluxes, venous/arterial dopplers, and biopsies
No cardiac imaging required (Echo tech covers this)
OB/GYN imaging only for viability in ER patients
Patient ratio: 1:1
Work as part of a team during weekdays; solo and on-call during weekends
Support available from lead ultrasound tech and supervisor
Charting systems used: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis
Orientation: 1-3 shifts on unit depending on experience and comfort
Scheduling: Weekend rotation varies; up to 7 days time off can be approved
Scrub color: Any
Parking: Free

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in ultrasound imaging
Certifications required: ARMDS (vascular and abdominal), BLS
Experience with the specified patient types is required
First-time travelers are welcome

Preferred Skills and Equipment Experience

Experience with equipment such as GE Logiq 7, GE Logiq 10, Siemens, Octavia, Parks flo-lab preferred

This position offers a structured weekday schedule with weekend on-call responsibilities and requires solid ultrasound imaging experience with vascular and abdominal specialties.
