Job Opportunity: Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Weekday shifts: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (10 hours)
  • Weekend shifts: May be required, 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM (5 hours), with possible extended hours
  • Weekend requirement: 2 weekends out of a 6-week schedule (Saturday & Sunday)
  • On-call shifts required during scheduled weeks (Monday to Sunday)
  • On-call hours:

    • Monday to Friday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
    • Saturday & Sunday: 1:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Patient Age Group: Adults

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cardiac Sonographer license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year
• ARDMS, CCI, or RCS certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience with Phillips equipment

Additional Requirements

• Must be available for weekend shifts and on-call as scheduled
• No floating assignments
• Scrub color: Navy
• Orientation sessions held bi-weekly

Compliance and Documentation

• Background checks including criminal, motor/traffic violations, education verification, and sanction list searches required within 90 days of start
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen (including THC) within 30 days of start
• Health documents required within 12 months of start:

  • Physical exam
  • Fit mask (N95 or equivalent)
  • Immunizations and titers: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (no exemptions)
  • Polio vaccine or attestation
• Two professional references required from employment within the last 12 months (at least one supervisor)
• Employment application and skills checklist must be completed and updated annually

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates within 75 miles are considered
• Candidate must set up required system accounts prior to clearance
• Competency exams and pass/fail testing will be conducted during orientation
