Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVICU

Location: Dayton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Shifts available: 36 or 48 hours
Targeted patient ratio: 1:2 in a 36-bed unit
Unit involves working with telemetry, drips, and ventilators
Navy blue scrubs required
Floating may be required to other nearby campuses within 15 miles
Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays
First-time travelers are welcome
Overtime paid after 48 hours on 48-hour contracts

Required Experience & Skills

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with arterial lines (A-Lines), sheaths, and drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs)
Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
