Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Tech with a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in Radiology/Cardiology. This position requires prior travel experience; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
Work Environment & Unit Details
- Procedures room with 3 cath labs and one hybrid OR
- Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Labs (required)
- Call required: Typically 6 evenings and 1 weekend per 6 weeks
- Weekend shifts: Typically one weekend per 6 weeks on standby; must respond within 30 minutes of callback
- Medication system: Pyxis
- Documentation systems: EPIC, McKesson
- Communication method: SBAR
- Scrubs provided

- Cardiac Stent Placement
- Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)
- IABP Placement/Removal
- Impella insertion
- Left heart catheterization
- Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
- Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
- Right heart catheterization
- Rotablader athrectomy
- Temporary Pacemaker
- Ventricular Assist Device Insertion
Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures (Preferred)
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
- Pulmonary Artery (PA) line insertion
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR)
- Watchman procedure
Equipment and Devices (Required)
- Fluoroscopy (Siemens)
Procedural Responsibilities (Required)
- Accurate monitoring
- Equipment setup
- Perform EKG lead placement
- Prep access site
- Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Room circulator duties
- Scrub and maintain sterile field
- Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose)
Professional Knowledge and Skills
- Isolation Precautions (Required)
- Use of Rapid Response team (Preferred)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience with Cardiac Stent Placement
- Experience with IABP Placement/Removal
- Experience with Impella insertion
- Experience with Left heart catheterization
- Experience with Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
- Experience with Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
- Experience with Right heart catheterization
- Experience with Rotablader athrectomy
- Experience with Temporary Pacemaker
- Experience with Ventricular Assist Device insertion
- Experience with Epic documentation system
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to respond to on-call within 30 minutes
- Must complete required competency exams and training modules prior to start
- Must comply with state-specific background checks and licensing verifications
- Must complete facility and system-specific regulatory and specialty training modules annually
- Float policy acknowledgment may be required (may be asked to float to other nearby facilities)
