Job Opportunity: IR Technologist

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

The Interventional Procedural Technologist supports minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, sterile scrub, and case circulating in radiology and operating room settings. Procedures involve neuro, cardiac, or vascular surgery. Experience with diagnostic and interventional interventional radiology procedures is required, including but not limited to angiography, embolization, venous access, venography, myelography, abdominal interventions, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, TIPS, dialysis access/fistula work, and Y90/SIRT.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT certification
  • Experience with Interventional Radiology (IR) diagnostic procedures
  • Experience with Interventional Radiology (IR) interventional procedures
  • Specific procedure experience including:
    • Angiography
    • Embolization
    • Venography
    • Myelography
    • Abdominal interventions
    • Paracentesis
    • Thoracentesis
    • TIPS

Additional Information

  • Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray after the positive test.
  • Vaccine for Hepatitis B is strongly preferred but optional.
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years is preferred but optional.
  • Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documentation.
