Description

Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
  • Every 3rd weekend rotation, holidays as needed
  • Float required if needed
  • Patient population: Inpatient Renal (Chronic Kidney Disease, Acute Kidney Injury, ESRD) and general Medical Surgical
  • Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4-5
  • Telemetry experience required
  • EPIC experience required

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
  • At least one completed travel nursing assignment
  • ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Medication Administration Badge (MAB)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Pass/Fail Dysrhythmia/EKG exam required (must score 82% or higher, 2 attempts allowed)
  • EPIC test required (2 attempts allowed)
  • Other certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., NIH Stroke Certification for certain units)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Social Security Card
  • Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Education verification (Associate’s degree in nursing or higher required)
  • Transcript/Diploma copy for highest education
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
  • Immunizations and health documents including:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (Qgold/TSPOT within 6 months)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B titer or declination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
  • Fit mask test (N95) completed within current calendar year and updated annually
  • Physical exam (if applicable)
  • References: 2 supervisory references required (one within 12 months, one within 24 months)
  • Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
  • Work history verification for last 5 years

Additional Information

  • Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • Must complete all compliance requirements by deadline prior to start date
  • Floating between units may be required
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
  • Facility-specific policies and dress code must be reviewed and acknowledged

Prior Travel Experience

  • No first-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience required)

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with telemetry and inpatient renal experience who are comfortable working 12-hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Candidates must be fully compliant with all licensure, certification, and health requirements prior to start.
