Sonographer (Cardiac) - Temp Position

Location: Batesville, Arkansas
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams and procedures efficiently according to physician orders. Work collaboratively with patients, physicians, and interdepartmental staff to ensure excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete ultrasound studies timely and assist others during downtime.
• Monitor exam charges and manage daily workflow during high volume periods.
• Assist physicians with radiology procedures as needed.
• Maintain positive relationships within the department and communicate concerns appropriately.
• Manage ultrasound supplies and equipment safely, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance.
• Respond to on-call duties promptly, arriving within 30 minutes when called.
• Support other radiology areas when necessary.
• Adhere to attendance, dress code, safety, and infection control policies.
• Participate in required in-services and meetings.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sonographer.
• Must have experience in Echocardiography and Vascular ultrasound.
• Proficient in performing TTE Echocardiograms, TEE, stress echo, venous reflux exams, venous dopplers, carotid doppler, arterial doppler, ABI, pericardiocentesis, thrombin injections, and vein mapping exams.
• Ability to perform Echocardiograms with Definity Contrast.
• Able to start own IV.
• Experience with MediTech EMR system.
• Active ARDMS Certification.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Must be willing to work on a travel assignment (local candidates within 90 miles will not be considered).

• Philips Elite Epiq ultrasound machine
• Vasculab ABI machine

Additional Information

• Dress code requires traveler-provided matching scrubs.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
