Description

Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location: Saint Cloud, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks


Schedule

  • 4 days per week, 9-hour shifts (4x9 days)
  • Shift times: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM and 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Approximately 36 hours per week
  • On-call: 1-2 call shifts during the week and 1 call weekend per 4-week schedule

Job Description

  • Work in Interventional Radiology (IR) assisting with procedures such as:
    • Lower and upper extremity angiograms
    • Atherectomy
    • Mesenteric procedures
    • Dialysis fistulagram/declot
    • Nephrostomy tubes
    • Biliary tubes
    • Embolizations
    • Ports placement
  • Duties include scrubbing, annotating, sending images to PACS, and circulating during procedures
  • Two IR rooms with two Interventional Radiologists and two techs on call daily

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Minnesota
  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS certification

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Toshiba/Cannon Interventional rooms
  • Experience with nephrogram, kyphoplasty, internal/external biliary drainage, and venous access

Licensure

  • Must hold a valid Radiology Technologist license appropriate for Minnesota

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Criminal background check within one year of start, including multi-level searches
  • Education verification required
  • MN DHS Net Study Fingerprint clearance required prior to start (no pending fingerprints allowed)
  • Drug testing (9-panel) within one year of start
  • Physical exam within one year of start
  • Immunizations and health screenings required:
    • Tdap vaccination (no religious declinations accepted)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per MN state guidelines
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) proof of immunity or vaccination
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or positive titer or declination
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or mask requirement during flu season

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of facility-specific education modules during orientation (approx. 16 hours)
  • Candidate must complete a photo for badge (grey background, no selfies)
  • Dress code adherence (specific scrub color for RRTs noted)
  • Confidentiality agreement signed prior to start
  • References: Two recent employer references within last 2 years required
  • Skills checklist and work history verification as applicable

  • No explicit prior travel experience required
