Physical Therapist Travel Job – Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
Seeking a Physical Therapist with acute care experience to work primarily day shifts (8 AM – 4:30 PM) in a large acute care setting with approximately 899 beds. The role involves treating 12-14 patients per day, providing evaluations and treatments in both rehab and acute care environments.
Unit Information
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1 therapist to 12-14 patients
- Staff: Acute care staff average 7 per shift, with a need to increase to 14
- Floating Areas: Rehab and acute care units
- EMR System: Meditech
- Dress Code: Hunter green scrubs; nail policy prohibits fake nails, dips, gels, and requires nails to be cut
- Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Rotation includes at least 2 weekend days per 4-week block and holiday shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting
- USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk training
- Experience in a Post Acute setting
- Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
Personality Fit
- Positive, collaborative, and proactive with communication

Additional Notes
- Candidates without acute care experience will not be considered
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment with a moderate patient load
