Physical Therapist Travel Job – Dallas, Texas

Job Overview

Seeking a Physical Therapist with acute care experience to work primarily day shifts (8 AM – 4:30 PM) in a large acute care setting with approximately 899 beds. The role involves treating 12-14 patients per day, providing evaluations and treatments in both rehab and acute care environments.

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1 therapist to 12-14 patients
• Staff: Acute care staff average 7 per shift, with a need to increase to 14
• Floating Areas: Rehab and acute care units
• EMR System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Hunter green scrubs; nail policy prohibits fake nails, dips, gels, and requires nails to be cut
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Rotation includes at least 2 weekend days per 4-week block and holiday shifts

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting
• USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk training
• Experience in a Post Acute setting
• Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
