Description

Registered Nurse - Critical Care (ICU/CCU) - Nights

Location: Aberdeen, Washington
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Provide direct and individualized nursing care to critical care patients in an ICU/CCU setting. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Administer and document prescribed medications; report adverse reactions
  • Provide bedside care and initiate patient education on post-treatment care, diet, medication administration, and rehabilitation
  • Record medical information and vital signs accurately and timely
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic and lab tests
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments
  • Respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols
  • Apply Hemodynamic, Phlebotomy, and IV protocols
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment (e.g., cardiac monitors, ventilators, oxygen pumps) and interpret electronic displays
  • Monitor catheters, leads, and tubing for proper placement and function, initiating corrective actions as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid professional nursing license in Washington State or nurse licensure compact license with required verifications
  • Valid BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Critical care experience in a hospital setting
  • Proof of right to work in the United States
