Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist - Acute Care

Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking an Occupational Therapist with an OR license to provide acute care therapy services. The position involves floating between units within the hospital but not between different hospitals. Training will be provided for the units assigned. Weekend work is required (3 weekend days per month), with a rotation schedule including one holiday per year. Preferred work schedule is 10-hour days, but 8-hour days may be flexible. Expected patient ratio is 1:1.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oregon
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Occupational Therapist experience within the last year

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to float between units within the hospital as assigned
  • Weekend work required (3 weekend days per month)
  • On-call not required
  • No block schedules required
  • Must complete required facility and regional training modules annually via LMS platform
  • Must comply with facility-specific policies including float policy acknowledgment
  • Must complete Epic training modules as assigned

Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
  • Background checks and health documents must be current and compliant with state and facility regulations
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • Physical and health documents must be uploaded and maintained with appropriate expiration dates
  • Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced acute care environment with 1:1 patient ratios
