• Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend, holidays as needed
• Float: Required to float across multiple facilities as needed
• Patient Population: Primarily Medical-Surgical (MS) with Telemetry capabilities
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• First Time Travelers: Accepted

Job Description

• Care for patients with a variety of conditions including:

  • Observation patients
  • Respiratory conditions
  • General Medical-Surgical diagnoses
  • Palliative, End of Life, Hospice care
  • Psychiatric Observation
  • Diabetes management (including new diabetics and complications)
  • Surgical patients and surgical observation
• Use of EPIC electronic health record system
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Must pass a mandatory EKG competency exam during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Medication Administration Badge (MAB)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• EKG competency

• Candidates must complete all compliance requirements by the deadline prior to start date.
• Floating across facilities is mandatory for all travelers.
• Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies including floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgment.
• Orientation includes completion of EPIC test and other required competency exams with limited attempts allowed.
• Candidates must submit a professional badge photo meeting strict guidelines prior to clearance.
• First-time login to the facility’s system requires multi-factor authentication setup.

Summary

This is a 13-week travel Registered Nurse position on a night shift with a primarily medical-surgical patient population requiring a minimum of 2 years nursing experience. The role requires flexibility, adherence to strict compliance and testing standards, and the ability to float across multiple facilities. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
