Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Greensboro, North Carolina
Job Details
- Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend, holidays as needed
- Float: Required to float across multiple facilities as needed
- Patient Population: Primarily Medical-Surgical (MS) with Telemetry capabilities
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years nursing experience
- First Time Travelers: Accepted
Job Description
- Care for patients with a variety of conditions including:
- Observation patients
- Respiratory conditions
- General Medical-Surgical diagnoses
- Palliative, End of Life, Hospice care
- Psychiatric Observation
- Diabetes management (including new diabetics and complications)
- Surgical patients and surgical observation
- Use of EPIC electronic health record system
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Must pass a mandatory EKG competency exam during onboarding
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Medication Administration Badge (MAB)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- EKG competency

- Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
- Candidates must complete all compliance requirements by the deadline prior to start date.
- Floating across facilities is mandatory for all travelers.
- Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies including floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgment.
- Orientation includes completion of EPIC test and other required competency exams with limited attempts allowed.
- Candidates must submit a professional badge photo meeting strict guidelines prior to clearance.
- First-time login to the facility’s system requires multi-factor authentication setup.
Summary
This is a 13-week travel Registered Nurse position on a night shift with a primarily medical-surgical patient population requiring a minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
