Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ICU / IMC

Location

  • State: Maryland

Employment Type

  • Travel / Contract

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • 3x12 hour shifts, rotating day/night (0700-1930 & 1900-0730)
  • Every other weekend required
  • 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) within a six-week period

Unit Assignment

  • Work primarily in Intermediate Care (IMC) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Float to ICU, Emergency Department (ED), and Medical-Surgical units as needed

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
  • SPT (Surgical Patient Transport) certification
  • Successful completion of EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with required scores

Summary

This travel RN position requires a minimum of 2 years ICU experience with certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. The role involves working 12-hour rotating shifts in IMC and ICU units with floating responsibilities to ED and Med Surg. Candidates must pass a specialized EKG exam and meet comprehensive background, health, and competency requirements. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
