Echo Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Department: Diagnostic Testing Center
• Number of Beds: 220
• Staff: 4 Full-time, 3 PRN
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: 3 techs per shift
  • Night Shift: Call
• Equipment: GE Vivid E9
• EMR System: Meditech

Job Responsibilities

• Perform complete adult transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms
• Provide portable echocardiograms in patient rooms
• Build structured reports for physician review
• Preferred:

  • Administer ultrasound contrast agents (e.g., Definity, agitated saline)
  • Operate ultrasound equipment during transesophageal echocardiograms

Typical Procedures

• Adult transthoracic echocardiograms
• Stress echocardiograms
• Transesophageal echocardiograms

Required Qualifications

• Valid Echo Technician license in New Hampshire
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Technician, including experience within the last year
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Echo Tech - Radiology
• ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
• BLS certification
• Completion of HCA annual compliance training, HCA orientation curriculum, Code of conduct training, De-escalation skills in healthcare, or USP 800 hazardous drug risk training
