Job Opportunity: Pharmacist

Location: Independence, Missouri

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

• Work 40 hours per week with varying shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
• No overnight shifts required.
• Decentralized pharmacist model with support from pharmacy technicians across shifts.
• Unit uses Pyxis ES, Dose Edge, and Meditech documentation system.
• Responsibilities include refilling Pyxis machines, filling first doses, IV sterile and non-sterile compounding, packaging unit dose medications, answering phones, assisting pharmacists, and refilling code blue trays.
• No on-call or floating required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in Missouri.
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of Annual Compliance Curriculum for HCA.
• Completion of Code of Conduct Orientation and Code of Conduct Refresher.
• Completion of HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting training.
• Completion of Orientation Curriculum for HCA.
• Knowledge and training in USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk.

Additional Information

• Dress code: Clean scrubs required.
• Schedule includes weekends and a combination of day and evening shifts.
• Experience with Pyxis ES, Meditech, and Dose Edge is preferred but optional.
