Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Kingman, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Orientation occurs every Monday.
• Charting system: Meditech (preferred experience but not required).
• Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed.
• Weekend shifts every other weekend.
• Patient ratio approximately 1:5-6.
• Telemetry experience required due to potential for remote telemetry monitoring.
• Locals and first-time travelers accepted equally.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for Arizona.
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• NRP certification.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID.
• Background check: 7-year search within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• Education verification: Transcript or diploma required; if unavailable, acceptable verification through a national database.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
• Annual TB questionnaire.
• Immunization or titer proof for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
• Two professional references within 3 years.
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.
• Clear, passport-style photo for badge.

Additional Information

• Float to other medical-surgical units may be required.
• Blocked scheduling is not guaranteed.
• Weekend shifts every other weekend.
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not mandatory.

This position is suitable for both local nurses and those new to travel nursing.
