Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp Position

Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical physical therapy care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Work schedule includes 4 days per week in an outpatient clinic and 1 day per week in acute care.
• Opportunity to work 1-2 acute care weekends during the assignment (Saturday 7:00 AM–12:00 PM, Sunday 7:00 AM–11:00 AM) is available but not mandatory.
• Patient focus includes orthopedic, neurological, and safety discharge cases.
• Must be willing to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility.
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Physical Therapist experience (based on work history/resume).
• At least 1 year of previous PT experience required.
• Outpatient experience required; inpatient experience preferred.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
• Physical Therapist license required.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Skills checklist specific to Physical Therapist discipline required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of at least 1 prior travel contract preferred.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.

• Work hours typically 36-40 hours per week; overtime policies apply beyond standard hours.
• Call back and on-call opportunities available with additional compensation.
• This position requires flexibility and willingness to support acute care needs occasionally.
