Description

Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Float required
  • On-call required: 3 weeknights and 2 weekends within 6 weeks
  • Locals within 60 miles may be accepted at a lower rate

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse license in Maryland
  • Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA or ARC)
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)

Additional Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 90 days, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start (does not include marijuana)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
  • N95 Fit Mask test within 9 months of start, updated annually
  • Required immunizations or proof of immunity: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Flu vaccination (or approved exemption)
  • Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
  • Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license verification
  • Medication and competency exams required within 3 years of start, including EKG/Dysrhythmia competency for applicable units

Notes

  • Orientation and facility-specific modules must be completed prior to start
  • Documentation such as I9/E-Verify attestation required upon hire
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced OR environment with float and on-call responsibilities

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with OR experience seeking a travel contract in Maryland with a structured 4x10 schedule and on-call duties. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
