Description

Job Opportunity: Medical Technologist

Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Department: Laboratory Services
Shift: Night shift (8:30 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating 7 days on, 7 days off
Unit Size: 406 beds
Staff: 18 laboratory assistants total
Night Shift Staffing: 2 laboratory assistants
Equipment Used: Mobilab
EMR System: Meditech

Job Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and phlebotomy
Specimen processing, receipt, and accessioning using Meditech system
Work in a fast-paced, busy environment providing quality patient care
Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and deliver memorable patient experiences

Required Qualifications

Medical Technologist license
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist

Preferred Skills

Proficient in phlebotomy
Experience with specimen processing
Familiarity with Mobilab and Meditech systems

Additional Information

The unit is part of a Level 1 trauma center
