Job Summary
Seeking a Bone Density Technologist (DEXA Technologist) with current and proficient bone density exam experience. This is a specialized role focused on performing bone density exams; candidates will not be required to perform X-rays.

Required Qualifications
- Current and proficient experience performing bone density exams (hard stop requirement)
- Active ARRT certification, RT(R) license through Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- No separate DEXA license required
- Must hold a valid Oregon state license for Radiologic Technologist (RT) in the specialty
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty (Bone Density Technology)
- 1st time travelers are eligible (no prior travel experience required)
Certifications (as applicable)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other certifications may be required depending on clinical track (verify as applicable)
- State professional license (Oregon RT license)
- Other certifications as required by clinical specialty and facility policies
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respiratory safety clearance for respirator use (annual)
- Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including state-specific searches as applicable
- Employment application covering last 5 years (7 years for advanced practice nurses)
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting
Additional Notes
- No on-call or weekend requirements make this a predictable schedule role
- No floating between units
- Epic charting system used (training may be required)
- Facility is a short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds
- Parking is free
- Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed)
