Job Description

• Position: Registered Nurse in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Start Date: Next applicable orientation date (3-4 weeks out)
• Schedule: 36-40 hours per week (3x12 or 8/10 shifts)
• On-call Requirement: Cardiac call 2-3 days per week, minimum 6 days per month (weekdays and 24-hour weekend shifts)
• Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling: Not accommodated
• Locals accepted at same rate
• Pending license accepted
• Must be nicotine-free (smoke-free facility)
• Must prioritize time-sensitive training modules once assigned

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance (must be completed prior to start)
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Required immunizations/vaccinations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
• COVID-19 vaccination series or approved exemption required
• Two professional references within 2 years (for travel positions)
• State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification for RN license within 30 days of start
• Pass/fail testing (EKG/Medication) during orientation

• Candidates must complete all required online onboarding modules before starting; these are high priority and cannot be delayed.

• Candidates must submit all requested time-off (RTO) upfront with their application.
• Fingerprinting and background checks must be completed and cleared prior to start date.
• Candidates with gaps greater than 6 months between assignments at this facility may need to re-orient and complete modules again.
