Description

Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

Unit: Family Services (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, GYN/Pediatrics)
Number of Beds: 19
Patient Ratios:
- Labor & Delivery: 1-2:1
- Postpartum: 3:1
- GYN/Pediatrics: 3-4:1
Staffing: Nurses, Unit Coordinators, Manager, Director
Equipment: EFM, beds, pumps, etc.
Documentation Systems: Meditech Expanse, CPN Connect
Scheduling: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
Floating Policy: May float to other units as helping hands, sitter, or virtual support
Dress Code: Unit scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience, including experience within the last year
Labor & Delivery (L&D), Postpartum (PP), and LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) experience
Nursery/NICU experience
Certifications required:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Skills & Experience

Must have Labor & Delivery and Postpartum experience
Experience with LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) preferred
Nursery/NICU experience is a plus
Advanced skills for procedures such as versions, circumcisions, and C-sections
