Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Family Medicine Clinic

Location: Clinton, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 6 weeks

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care in a Family Medicine Clinic setting. The LPN will collaborate closely with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care focused on patient safety, comfort, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed patient assessments including monitoring vital signs, physical examinations, and evaluating patient conditions to guide care plans.
Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols.
Maintain thorough medical records using an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and basic laboratory tests to assist physicians.
Educate patients and families on health coaching topics including nutrition and medication management.

Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Required Qualifications

Valid LPN / LVN license in Illinois
Minimum of 1 year of clinic experience, with clinic experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Experience in ambulatory care settings

Additional Information

Prior travel experience is not required.
