Ultrasound Technologist – Women’s Health

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • No nights or weekends

Position Summary

Seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a contract assignment in a Women’s Health Clinic. The role involves performing high-quality ultrasound procedures and supporting clinical and administrative functions related to women’s care in a patient-centered environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures according to provider orders and clinical standards
  • Ensure all equipment is powered on, calibrated, and fully operational before patient procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each use
  • Stock exam rooms with necessary supplies
  • Communicate ultrasound results to referring providers as directed
  • Manage timely follow-up for STAT results, call reports, and patients awaiting results
  • Accurately transfer images, patient information, and exam documentation for after-hours cases
  • Support clinic workflow and provide excellent patient care and service

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Registered with ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent secondary education attainment
