Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Unit Information

• Department: Respiratory Services
• Number of Beds: 854
• Number of Staff: 120
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: 15-20 RRTs for Adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatrics
  • Night Shift: 12-16 RRTs for Adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Pediatrics
• Patient Ratios: 10 - 25 patients per therapist
• Equipment Used:

  • GE R860 Adult ventilators
  • Draeger Infant/Pediatric ventilators
  • Newport HT70 transport ventilator
  • V60 Non-invasive device
  • Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Cerner

Job Description

• Provide respiratory therapy services across all critical care units and floors
• Typical procedures involve adult and pediatric respiratory care
• Floating to various critical care areas as needed
• Dress Code: Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs
• Weekend Requirement: At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, with varying weekends and on-call duties

Required Qualifications

• Current North Carolina Respiratory Therapist (RRT) License
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT

Preferred Qualifications

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

• Candidates without the required skills and certifications will not be considered
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
