Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist
Location: San Angelo, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must have ARRT (T) certification.
- Graduation from an accredited radiology program is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required; 3 years strongly preferred.
- Start date on or near May 4th.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Texas
- Radiation Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- ARRT (T) certification
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Social Security Card.
- Background check (7-year, including federal, state, and education verification).
- E-Verify or attestation.
- Education verification or diploma.
- Various facility-specific forms and acknowledgements (e.g., Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Statement, Health Record Form).
- Passport-style photo for badge.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Fit test within 6 months prior to start (annual updates required).
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TDAP (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccination)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccination series/declination)
- Varicella (positive titer, vaccination, or proof of disease)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
- COVID initial series (boosters not required)
- Drug testing as per facility requirements.
- References: 2 required within 3 years of start.
- Resume or employment application.
- Skills checklist updated annually.
- Pass/fail testing during orientation (medication administration, restraint, glucometer, etc.).

- Legal name must match across all documentation (license, ID, social security card, certifications).
- Background checks and certifications must be current and valid as per facility and regulatory requirements.
- Some certifications and competencies may have a grace period for longer-term assignments.
