Job Opportunity: EEG Tech
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (rotating days and nights)
- Initial training requires working 5 consecutive 8-hour days
- Must be comfortable working with all patient populations and floating between pediatric and adult hospitals if requested
- Types of cases include: Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, sEEG, Neurotelemetry, Ictal SPECT, routine EEG, Trauma, Critical Care
- Must be able to perform collodion/glue EEG hook-up
- No weekend requirement
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; 1 pre-approved time-off per contract allowed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an EEG Technician, including experience within the last year
- Certifications required:
- ABRET
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- R.EEG T (Registered EEG Technologist)
- Must be able to perform collodion/glue EEG hook-up
Additional Requirements
- Must complete facility-specific orientation and safety modules prior to start
- Must provide minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment (within 2 years)
- Employment application with full work history and explanations for gaps of 30+ days
- Skills checklist completed within 12 months and updated annually
- Must be willing to float between pediatric and adult units as needed
Shift Details
- Rotating day and night shifts, 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Initial training week(s) require 5 consecutive 8-hour days
Notes
- First-time travelers accepted if all other requirements are met
- Local candidates accepted
- No weekend shifts required
- Must be willing to work major holidays as specified
This position is ideal for EEG Technologists with at least 2 years of experience who are flexible with shift rotations and patient populations, and who hold the required certifications.
